Kitchen ready, set, go!

Learn from the best: In various workshops at our action kitchen, visitors get the chance to cook with Berlin’s food scene experts.

Hobby cooks meet professionals – this can only result in pure indulgence! In the cooking classes, lead by competent food professionals, there sure is enough experience and time for every participant to crib some of the expert know-how. And the classes are for free – what else could your cooking heart ask for? Berlin Food Week offers three days of exciting workshops in the big action kitchen at the House of Food. Here you can resolve questions like: How do I make pasta? And butter? How do I know, when my meat has the ideal doneness? In the show kitchen we fillet, roast, knead and taste as a team. Berlin’s chefs, manufacturers and producers show their talents and pass on their knowledge. A competent and broad variety of food specialists like Cynthia Barcomi or Ralf Zacherl are contributing their expertise. The newcomers from Retos Candy Farm and Belyzium, as well as established entrepreneurs like Lüske feine Lebensmittel and Hagen Grote will be on site. Luisa Giannitti, well known under the label Luisa kocht!, introduces her skills of pasta manufacturing and produces ravioli and gnocchi together with the guests. “Frau Bunt” alias Sandra Anna Christen takes the guests to the world of seeds and creates a five course degustation menu. At the end of the workshop, all contributors can take their own creations home. Everybody with a Berlin Food Week ticket can take part, as the ticket price includes all workshops. However the number of participants is limited. If you want to safe yourself a spot, be quick and register. In case you should not be able to get hold of a seat you can still observe the workshop from the outside.
